Meet the Mess Hall Co-founders
Noah Greene
Noah Greene is a Bezalel Academy of Art and Design graduate who is currently pursuing a MFA at Alfred University in Ceramics.
His work centers around the integration of painting and clay to create three-dimensional ceramic art based in Queer Theory and Identity. As a transgender, gay man, he pulls on his knowledge and personal experiences to help further a discourse between the viewer and himself in the hopes of creating a more compassionate, fact driven conversation about the intersectionality of Queer bodies, mental health, community and culture.
Isabel Monti
Isabel Monti is a University of Wisconsin Madison graduate who is currently pursuing a MFA at Alfred University in Painting.
After the deaths of her three grandparents, Isabel’s studio practice became a way to continue to communicate, hold them close, and attempt to understand them and her origins. Physically they remain in the objects they gave to her, in a family heirloom, a family photograph, or in a book they loved. Isabel will often incorporate an aerial view to symbolize what late loved ones would see if they were looking down from above.
